Course Description
This course offers a philosophical inquiry into the evolving relationship between technology, humanity, and the natural world. Through critical readings and discussions, students will explore the religious dimensions of technological aspirations, the tension between artificiality and naturalness, the ethical risks of technological hubris, and the transformative promises and perils of transhumanism. By engaging with diverse philosophical perspectives, students will develop a critical framework to reflect on the future of human nature and society in an increasingly technologized world.
