Neohumanist Education

Introduction to Neohumanist Philosophy

“The humanism which is not motivated by any perennial source of inspiration is bound to become a formality only, devoid of real sincerity. It may die out at any moment, like a river which ends in the sands of the desert. So it must be motivated by a constant and perennial source of inspiration – which I call Neohumanism.” - Shrii P.R. Sarkar

Course Description

This course provides an in-depth introduction to the Neohumanist philosophy that underpins the Neohumanist Education movement, primarily based on readings and reflections from foundational source texts.  Once these concepts are clearly understood, they provide a framework that allows for flexible, culturally appropriate and innovative application in educational practice.

Experience a completely unique learning journey! Students will:
  • Learn how to utilize the systematic Neohumanist method of rationalistic thinking to arrive at awakened conscience.
  • Experience a clear, well assimilated understanding of the philosophy of Neohumanism and be empowered to apply innovative and unique solutions in your field of work.
  • Generate fresh perspectives, motivation and unique insights on current issues through personal reflections and group work, while analyzing the work of Shrii P.R. Sarkar.
